Marianne Lowenthal directs all acquisition and development activity for both mixed-use and retail projects. In her previous position as Executive Vice President for Bond Companies in Los Angeles, she specialized in mixed-use development. Prior to holding that position, she had equity investment and management positions as principal of her own business, Lowenthal & Company. There she completed the sale of 3.2 million square feet of office buildings in two high-rise mixed-use projects in Los Angeles, in addition to being project manager for the development of a 500,000 square foot mixed-use project in Burbank, CA.
Ms. Lowenthal also spent more than thirteen years at The Prudential Realty Group where she started in the development division and rose to become manager of the Western Region portfolio, totaling over 6 million square feet with a combined value in excess of $1.5 billion. She also oversaw a portfolio of commercial mortgage loans totaling over $2 billion.
Marianne Lowenthal received a B.A. in Political Science and holds an M.B.A. with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate, from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Jeff Mindes combines his varied experience in construction project management with his education in engineering, real estate development principles and practices to effectively manage and execute the design, construction and post entitlement activities for Combined's mixed-use projects. Prior to joining the company, he was a Project Manager with CIM Group, Inc. in Hollywood, CA and also worked for Charles Pankow Builders in Hawaii and California. He was one of a team of engineers who constructed the Los Angeles MTA Headquarters and the Metropolitan Water District headquarters buildings at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.
Jeff Mindes holds a B.S. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California at San Diego and a Masters in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering and Management with a minor in Real Estate Development from Stanford University. He is also a licensed general contractor.
Numa Jerome, Senior Vice President - East Coast Leasing, is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with retailers and brokers and leasing the firm’s portfolio of shopping centers on the East Coast. Numa has over 15 years of experience working in real estate development, primarily with retail and urban mixed use projects. His past experience includes all aspects of real estate leasing, strategic planning and financial analysis.
Numa comes to Combined Properties from Acadia Realty Trust and previously held positions at Federal Realty Investment Trust and Edens & Avant. He brings a fresh perspective to the management team, building upon his experience with a variety of other projects locally as well as nationally.
Numa Jerome has a BA in Economics from Boston University and a MBA from Georgetown University. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Nadia Gilmore is the Vice President of West Coast Leasing and is responsible for the Company’s leasing activities in the Southern California market which includes implementing strategies for real estate business development. She has nearly 20 years of experience in the area of commercial retail leasing and marketing.
Prior to joining Combined Properties, Nadia was the Director of Leasing at Shea Properties (Westlake, CA), and held executive leasing positions at First Washington Realty (Newhall, CA), Coreland Companies (Sherman Oaks, CA), Developers Diversified Realty (Los Angeles, CA), Burnham Pacific Properties (Los Angeles, CA), Albert B. Glickman & Associates (Beverly Hills, CA) and Windsor Leasing & Management (Encino, CA). Her experience in retail leasing includes shopping centers of all sizes from community to power centers, lifestyle centers and mixed-use properties for a variety of portfolios. Her expertise was focused on the leasing and marketing of new projects to redeveloping and re-tenanting existing and repositioned centers, specializing in anchor and national tenant deals.
Nadia Gilmore received a degree in Business Administration from Moorpark College (Moorpark, CA) and is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and Women in Commercial Real Estate.
Kurt Meeske is the Vice President of East Coast Construction bringing more than thirty – (30) years of experience in the construction industry. He was formerly Vice President of Development & Construction for Baltimore-based Prime Retail. During his fourteen – (14) year tenure there, he was responsible for development, construction, expansions, tenant coordination, and capital projects. Prior to that, Meeske was a Project Manager for Simon Property Group and among his responsibilities was the coordination of all on-site activities for the construction of Pentagon City Fashion Center (Arlington, VA) which included: 860,000 sq. ft. of retail, Macy’s Nordstrom, parking structure, 17-story office tower, and 16-story Ritz Carlton Hotel.
Kurt Meeske holds a B.A. from Colorado State University.
Thomas Cleys came to Combined Properties in 2005 from Haverford Capital, Inc. where he was Vice President of Asset Management responsible for the underwriting and asset management of $500 million in new debt and equity investments in real estate. Prior to his tenure at Haverford, he was a Senior Asset Manager at Glendale Federal Bank, where he restructured and liquidated a $140 million portfolio of diverse troubled real estate loans. Previously, at Lowe Enterprises, his responsibilities included development feasibility and acquisition analysis for the Commercial Properties division and asset management of $500 million of institutional quality real estate.
An honors graduate of Loyola University of Chicago where he earned a B.S. in Mathematics, Cleys also holds a joint M.B.A. and Masters of Real Estate Degree with honors from the University of Southern California.
Scott Ginsburg focuses on project management, business development and other strategic initiatives for Combined Properties. He is responsible for a portion of the company’s mixed-use and retail investments and development projects in Los Angeles, West Hollywood and Orange County. Most recently, he managed the redevelopment of the award winning Lincoln & Rose Shopping Center in Venice, CA which included many sustainable initiatives as well as an extensive community outreach and entitlement program.
Ginsburg began his real estate career with Trammell Crow Company's Corporate Advisory Practice in Dallas, TX advising Fortune 500 Companies on strategic real estate initiatives. From there, Ginsburg joined AIG Global Investment Group's Real Estate and Mortgage Lending Group (formerly SunAmerica Investments) in Los Angeles, CA in 2001. While there, he participated in the underwriting, negotiation and execution of over $750 million in commercial senior and subordinated mortgages, B-notes, mezzanine loans and preferred equity for all real estate property types. He also worked closely with several large REITs and privately-held companies to initiate credit facilities and large structured debt transactions for redevelopment and opportunistic investments.
Ginsburg is an active member of both the Urban Land Institute and the International Council of Shopping Centers as well as a member of Lambda Alpha International, an honorary real estate society. Ginsburg received a B.A. with a concentration in Finance from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA.
Jason Bohle is responsible for the day-to-day execution of work for a portion of the Company's mixed-use projects in West Hollywood and Los Angeles. He started his real estate career at J.P. Morgan & Company in New York where he worked on a variety of M&A transactions including a $1 billion merger of two office REITs, private equity raising for a number of Latin American real estate companies and the sale of an interest in a Brazilian shopping mall company.
In 2001, Bohle joined Prudential Real Estate Investors where he advised Latin American real estate companies on launching growth strategies. In this capacity, he worked with a large Mexican homebuilder to develop retail properties within its residential developments and helped a Brazilian homebuilder develop an affordable housing platform.
Mr. Bohle graduated with a B.A. from Northwestern University with honors in Economics and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Christopher Owen has been involved in real estate development, acquisition, and asset management for more than 10 years. At Combined, he is responsible for project management of development and construction projects as well as tenant coordination work. He began his real estate career working as a market analyst and feasibility consultant for multi-family developers, for sites around the nation.
Owen has extensive experience analyzing and understanding specific market drivers, including demographics, leasing strategies, and the entitlement processes within individual cities. He has worked on several public/private partnerships for development and renewal projects in urban areas, including Austin and College Park in TX, Long Beach and Downtown Los Angeles in CA. He studied for a B.A. from Fordham University and studied graduate-level Urban Planning at the University of Texas - Austin.
