Standalone grocery store anchors brand-new mixed-use community in the City of Fairfax

Fairfax, VA. (August 21, 2020) – Combined Properties is pleased to announce the grand opening of Giant Food at Scout® on the Circle, its brand-new mixed-use development located in the City of Fairfax, Virginia. The standalone grocery store occupies a 54,000 square foot building at
9400 Fairfax Boulevard and will serve the residential buildings of Scout® as well as the surrounding communities. The location contains a Starbucks, PNC Bank, a fresh cut fruit station and juice bar, floral shop and a beer and wine shop. The store will provide natural and organic groceries as well as local produce sourced from D.C., Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.

As grocery stores continue to serve consumers during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Giant Food is taking specific safety precautions to preserve the health and safety of guests and staff. The store is supplying hand sanitizer at the door and materials to wipe down carts and has installed plexiglass partitions at each cash register. Signage throughout the space reminds visitors to respect social distancing guidelines and remain six feet apart from others. An employee stationed at the entrance will track how many people are inside the store at any given time to ensure the headcount does not exceed local limitations. Every member of the Giant Food staff is required to wear a mask throughout each shift.

Shoppers are able to take advantage of online ordering on www.GiantFood.com or through the Giant Food mobile app. Orders can be picked up at the store or scheduled for delivery.
