Jessica Berets Joins Combined Properties

Combined Properties, Incorporated is pleased to announce that Jessica Berets has joined the company as Assistant General Counsel. In this capacity she will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and consummating a variety of legal documents, including lease agreements with tenants in the commercial retail real estate portfolio managed by Combined Properties, and providing advice and counsel to the company’s leasing, construction and property management departments.

Berets brings over eight years of landlord and tenant experience to Combined, having worked on sophisticated market transactions, both as in-house counsel at a publicly held REIT (SL Green Realty Corp.) and as an associate in the New York City offices of Olshan Grundman Frome Rosenzweig & Wolosky LLP, Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP and Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. She has also served as lead counsel representing clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties, in addition to representing borrowers in mortgage, mezzanine and construction loans as they pertain to commercial real estate.

Jessica Berets holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School (cum laude) where she was Associate Editor of The University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform, and a B.A. in English, from Pomona College. She is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
