Mart of Montebello Announces $5.5M Renovation

Beverly Hills, CA (April 12, 2016) — Combined Properties, Incorporated has announced plans to renovate and rename the Mart of Montebello shopping center, located at the intersection of Montebello and Beverly Boulevards in Montebello, CA.

The Mart of Montebello was originally built in 1957 and last renovated in 1991. The planned $5.5M renovation will remodel and modernize the facades and pad buildings with new parapets, features, fascia materials, and repainted color schemes. The renovation also includes a new pad building, currently under construction, that has been leased to Chipotle and The Habit Burger.

Another feature of the renovation is a focus on art. In addition to the commission of a large wall mural, the center will sponsor a competition among local students to create works to be displayed within the common areas of the shopping center.

The renovation is anticipated to begin in the 2nd quarter of 2016 with expected completion by the end of the year. At the conclusion of the renovation, the center will be renamed Montebello Mix.  A grand reopening will take place to celebrate the conclusion of remodeling, opening of the pad site, dedication of artwork and to acknowledge the center’s new identity as Montebello Mix.
